SESAME Project finalized

SESAME (Set Sail to Music Export) is a project implemented by the Star Education Association with the support of RAW Music, the French Institute in Bucharest, and MMB, co-financed by the European Union through the LIVEMX program. The project organized – between November 2024 and February 2025) 5 creative camps in 5 different weeks, with two bands/artists from different countries (Romania, France, Georgia, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Turkey and the Republic of Moldova).

During each creative camp, the artists had the opportunity to compose and record songs under the guidance of a music producer and to participate in workshops on topics of great interest to any artist who wants an international career (author’s fees, music publishing, organizing international tours, digital music distribution, presentations of the music markets in Romania and France). Last but not least, the bands participating in each camp held a joint concert in one of the live clubs in Bucharest (Control, Expirat, Echoes Club, respectively).

The project aimed to transform Bucharest into a musical export hub, both for the participating Romanian artists, but also for those from the international space. The bands that participated in the project are:

Nerlov (FR) and Mahaya (MD) – week 17-23 Nov, 2024

SHY (UA) and GOSS (TK) – week 23-29 Nov, 2024
